In addition to these projects, KANS members report sightings of birds, mammals, butterflies, moths, insects, reptiles, amphibians and plants and trees during their visits to Melagiris. All these are currently hosted as Melagiri Group in India Biodiversity Portal. Images are maintained in a Picasa Album. A proposal to declare Melagiri as an IBA (Important Bird Area) which was submitted to BNHS can be downloaded from HERE.
